It is difficult enough to find a nice 1st pressing of this LP in its original gatefold sleeve but to get one with the original mega rare booklet is near impossible.
Only a handful of first Radio Gnome pressings had this booklet (spread between Radio Gnome Invisible Part 1 - 'Flying Teapot' & Part 2 - 'Angel's Egg' when they were released virtually together in the UK in 1973) and most have now disappeared. It was originally intended that 'You' would also have the booklet inserted but this never materialised.
The manufacturers found that producing the booklet was not cost-effective in relation to the relatively low sales volumes for these LPs. They therefore withdrew the booklet after just a very short run - perhaps only 100 to 150. They therefore only appeared with a handful of the earliest pressings of both Radio Gnome LPs.
It's now virtually impossible to find this booklet - especially in NEAR MINT condition which this one is! I sold my copy of Angel's Egg with the same original rare booklet last year for £125 on ebay; and I guess that this 1st pressing Flying Teapot LP with the original booklet has to be worth at least the same.
Cover: Gatefold 1st Pressing cover is Excellent+. No writings/doodles or seam splits. Tiny amount of wear only. Stunning for a 37 year old cover.
Inner Sleeve: Excellent+. No seam splits. Has 'Tubular Bells' hand-written on rear cover - I think I must have got the two mixed up in the past as they are identical.
Booklet: Near Mint. No missing pages, no writings, doodles, rips or splits. Staples firmly in place. Has been in the gatefold sleeve ever since it was purchased in 1973. Lightest of creasing only.
Labels: Black & White 'twin virgins' 1st pressing labels are Mint.
Vinyl: Excellent+ to Near Mint. Hardly any marks. Lightly played - well looked after. Beautiful sheen.

Gradings......
Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality.
Excellent - The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratches.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and more significant scratches.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise, it may even jump.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc
Bad - The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
