Description
"Our Lips are Sealed" • "We Got the Beat" • "Vacation" • The hits are all here and they still sound great.
Both of these albums are in exceptionally good condition. I bought both of them new. They've been stored upright on record shelves for the nearly four decades of their existence. It's hard to imagine finding better copies of these two classic LPs. Yes, there is minor wear along edges and corners, but nothing serious. No bends or wrinkles or gouges or marks of any sort. These look shiny and fresh. Both LPs come with lyrics sheets and those are in near perfect condition. The vinyl itself is about as close to new as you're likely to find. All photos depict the actual items being auctioned (no stock photos).
I had not played either of these in many years until this week when I got ready to list them on eBay. All four sides sounded great and played perfectly on my AT-120 turntable tracking at 2 grams.
"Beauty and the Beat" catalog number is: SP 70021 "Vacation catalog number is: SP 70031
The inner-groove runout etching on "Vacation" is curious. Side One reads, "Is this record a pencil or a beer can?" Side Two says "Give 'em an inch."
