PLEASE NOTE: The albums listed will not be cleaned (unless noted) I leave that up to the preference of the buyer. The Grading Standards for the Record, Cover & Sleeve will be VISUAL. With that said, Records will not be played, but imperfections noted, only in cases of DEEP scratches might they be played to check for skips. BUT REMEMBER, WHAT SKIPS ON ONE, MIGHT NOT SKIP ON ANOTHER...
- Album cover is VG++ as it has minimal corner and edge wear. The cover does state “Not For Sale”. It’s a rare promotional album from 1959 with various singers like Chuck Berry, Richie Valens and more. The record has light visible scratches and would grade VG. We did play the record and it sounds good with very light background noise. The sleeve is new. Please review all the pictures and if you have questions just ask.
- Per my research, this is the official soundtrack to the Hal Roach film “Go, Johnny Go!” but due to conflicts with the labels involved, this soundtrack was produced ONLY for radio stations to be used to promote the movie. There was no release of this that could be purchased in 1959 and is not even on a label per se, it is a release generated by the film company for promotional only. This record was mastered on April 1, 1959, two months ahead of the roll out to theaters, which is what makes it rare.
