This is the very first album of Glenn Miller’s music ever issued, An Album of Outstanding Arrangements, on 1944 first pressing RCA 4-disc set P-148. Released during the record ban because of the war, when they were rationing the materials used to make records, and so not very common. This is the second issue of the famed In The Mood record, the last version made with the original master, and so way better sounding than later issues. All four discs are about EX, with only a few tiny superficial scuffs and signs of gentle use. They all play truly beautifully with no issues at all. Nice clear sound, just lovely. The cover has a bit of edgewear and general signs of age and use, but an intact spine, strong binding, and still really striking. Really a beautiful copy! This is a hard album to find in such good shape. The discs include:
