Description
Glenn Gould
String Quartet, Op. 1
Columbia ML 5578 ( 6-Eyes Blue Columbia Label - on the original pressing made in Canada, i.e. pressed in the country of origin of Glenn Gould )
The Symphonia Quartet perform “String Quartet, Op. 1” composed by the remarkable and eccentric pianist Glenn Gould. Begun at the age of 21 the string quartet was written between 1953-55. To my knowledge this is the only composition by Glenn Gould that has been commercially recorded. I have sold classical records for 20+ years and this is the FIRST and likely only copy I will ever see of this VERY SCARCE record. Record is in Near Mint condition and jacket is NM. Don’t miss out on this unique classical recording!
