made specifically to be used as the premium Version of the program for a production of the play "Edmond" by David Mamet at the Staatstheater Stuttgart, Germany 1986. The music was written specifically for this production and has never been released in any other form. It is a series of very short pieces for four guitars, keyboard, bass and drums performed by my ensemble in NYC 1986 and recorded at Wharton Tiers studio then mastered and pressed in Germany. It contains about 22 minutes of music and the disc is to be played at 45 rpm. It was never released commercially and is extremely rare.

Angefangen hatte Glenn Branca im Theater. 1976 zog er nach New York, spielte in Bands und komponierte seine ersten Avantgarde-Stücke. Branca experimentierte mit alternativen Stimmungen und Instrumentierungen, schrieb Werke für großes Orchester und Avantgarde-Ensembles.
Die Gitarristen Thurston Moore und Lee Ranaldo, mit denen er anfangs zusammenarbeitete, gründeten bald ihre eigene Band Sonic Youth. Die Verbindungen zum Post-Punk halfen, ihn bei einem Rockpublikum bekannt zu machen. Sein Vermächtnis sind jedoch Werke, die zu den radikalsten der zeitgenössischen Musik gehören. Er wurde 69 Jahre alt.
