Description
Thomas L. Clear long time collector of 78 RPM records issued a series of limited editions of historic and rare performances. All were non-profit and were available from Clear by mail, one to a customer. Editions were limited to 250 copies. Violinist Guila Bustabo was born in Wisconsin but spent much of her career in Germany including during WW II. Clear was given recording access to these performances by the Schnelling Archive in New York. The major works are Sibelius Concerto, Paganini Concerto Op.6 and encore pieces by Sarasate, Paganini, Mendelssohn and others, see photos for details. There are apparently no other releases of these other than the original 78s. The 2-12" 33RPM mono LPs are probably unplayed but have inner sleeve marks from years of storage. No noise other than that attributable to the source 78s was heard during lengthy auditions, graded EX. Bi-fold jacket has ring wear from storage graded VG+.
