Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.
We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.
We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status! Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... Original 1981 A1 B1 C1 D1 pressing- Stored from new this LP set has seen one CAREFUL play only, and remains in pristine condition everywhere.
WITH THE '1st PRESS' ETCHINGS IN THE DEAD WAX ON ALL FOUR SIDES
THE VINYLS REALLY ARE MINT WITH NO SIGNS OF WEAR PLAY OR MARKS AT ALL!
There are NO spider lines around the centre holes, and no wear to the spindle hole whatsoever.
SURPLUS WAX AROUND THE CENTRE HOLES!!
BOTH VINYLS REALLY ARE STUNNING , CLEAN..AND PLAY AMAZING LIKE NEW.
There is barely a hint of any whisp lines- nothing else! Clearly this LP set has been archived from new, a few little dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..IT REMAINS IN ASTONISHING CONDITION.
On playing through we heard nothing bar the tiniest of lead in static in the dead grooves-even that was virtually silent....AND thats about it..they really do sound like BRAND NEW!
A very rare record to see at all these days on vinyl..
OVERALL THIS ALBUM IS A STRAIGHT 'TIME CAPSULE COPY'..YOU WON'T SEE BETTER.

Correct WIDE SPINE GATEFOLD UK issued sleeve - with HIGH GLOSS FINISH & 'HOWARD MARKS' PROMOTIONS COMPANY STICKER ON FRONT
PRINTER CREDITS - none
SUPERB ORIGINAL PROMO STICKERED SLEEVE..Only 'marred' by the fact this LP was reknowned for the inside gatefold seams sticking together leaving behind a white scuff when opened for the first time..(a production error) this one is like that but it is not too bad at all..in fact better than ost we have seen, albeit this LP hardly surfaces.
some very small light white scuff lines on the seams inside and two white small arcs of white at the top seams.
No ringwear - no press, of any note
The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition -
The spine is super wide and perfect with no rub -
There are a few light spider lines over the edges in a few places, and a couple of tiny white rub spots on the front near the open edge. Overall nothing that notices badly at all
the glossy inks and black finish is superb...
WE CANNOT SAY MORE THAN THIS REALLY IS QUITE SPECTACULAR.
