This auction is for a super rare GG Allin and The Jabbers 1979 Blood Records 3 song EP. A similar record recently sold with a slightly different cover. The record I have has GG's insights about the making of the record and the typesetting on the credits is slightly different on the back. The other one had a photo of GG on the front and back instead. I don't know which version of the record is more rare. It doesn't matter because the item I have up for auction is signed by the man himself. I knew GG when I lived in Boston from 1984-86. We raised a lot of Hell back then and when I came back to Boston for a week's visit at Merle's place in July, 1988, GG signed a big stack of my personal collection including this record. I still have everything including all of the flyers, albums, 45s, promo stuff and letters from prison. Everything I have has been lovingly preserved and protected for the last 15-20 years as a keepsake of a crazier time. Now that it has been 15 years since GG's death, it's seem like an appropriate time to pass on some of the authentic pieces of his lasting legacy to a new generation to ensure his mission and his musical niche in history are never forgotten. The photos I've posted show the front and back of the record including the autograph in black sharpie. The third photo I took while GG was signing my ROIR Records promo glossy during the same time this record sleeve was signed at Merle's place. Although not intended, I guess it serves as a weird kind of provenance. The 45 is guaranteed unplayed and in perfect pristine condition as it has been for almost 30 years.
