You are bidding on an EXTREMELY RARE! 1956 Capitol Record T 691 W/ TURQUOISE LABEL titled Modern Sounds featuring Shorty Rogers on Trumpet with an Octet on Side 1 with Art Pepper on Alto Saxophone, Jimmy Giuffre on Tenor Saxophone, Gene Englund on Tuba, John Graas on French Horn, Hampton Hawes on Piano Don Bagley on Bass and Shelly Manne on Drums.  On Side 2 Gerry Mulligan leads a Tentette on Baritone Saxophone with Bud Shank on Alto Saxophone, Don Davidson on Baritone Saxophone, Chet Baker and Pete Candoli on Trumpets, Bob Enevoldsen on Trombone, John Graas on French Horn, Ray Siegel on Tuba, Joe Mondragon on Bass, and Chico Hamilton or Larry Bunker on Drums.  The vinyl is NM! and the record cover is EX! with wear and split seams on top and bottom and a name very nicely in black felt pen in small letters not covering any graphics.  INCLUDED IS THE ORIGINAL CAPITOL RECORDS INNER SLEEVE!!  Selections include on Side 1 Four Mothers, Didi, Sam And The Lady, Popo, Over The Rainbow and Apropos.  Selections on Side 2 include Westwood Walk, Simbah, Walking Shoes, Rocker, A Ballad and Taking A Chance On Love.  EXTREMELY RARE AND DIFFICULT ITEM TO FIND IN THIS WONDERFUL CONDITION!!!  FABULOUS JAZZ SOLOS BY EVERYONE IN BOTH GROUPS!!  CLASSIC WEST COAST JAZZ AT ITS VERY BEST!!!  I HAVE PLAYED BOTH SIDES AND IT SOUNDS GREAT!!!  HOT ITEM!!  Buyer pays shipping and handling.  Thanks for looking and good luck!!!
