George Harrison - 'Electronic Sound'. ZAPPLE 02
George Harrison 1969 UK 1st FACTORY SAMPLE DEMO pressing of the 'Electronic Sound' album. Released on the 9th May 1969, and offered here with 1G/1M matrix and in EXCELLENT-/EXCELLENT+MINT- condition.
'Electronic Sound' is an experimental album recorded by George Harrison which was the second and final record to be released on the rare Zapple Records label. This was an offshoot of Apple Records intended to be a home for experimental and spoken word recordings which never fully took off. This album completely failed to chart and only a few thousand UK copies were ever sold. An incredibly hard and rare UK release to obtain.
These initial early factory sample pressings would have usually been given out to reviewers, radio stations or used as quality control within the pressing plant.
Released on the Zapple Records label with dark apple background both labels state the 'Sold in UK....' text. The vinyl is housed within an original black die cut inner similar to those used with the White Album and Yellow Submarine. The cover is fully laminated and in quite remarkable EXCELLENT+/MINT- condition. An incredibly rare demo album from George which is easily one of his hardest releases to obtain and among the very first few to be produced as denoted by the matrix below.

Side 2. ZAPPLE 02 B-1 1 M
The vinyl is in EXCELLENT- condition. Some light surface marks and one scuff which does not affect play. Both sides of the vinyl have been play tested and sound great with just a couple of light clicks.
Both labels are in MINT- condition. STUNNING.
The sleeve is in EXCELLENT+/MINT- condition. STUNNING.
The inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+ condition. NO damage but some creasing. I will also include an additional inner sleeve for protection.
