Description

Up for auction is Victor 55225, 12-inch 78rpm record, wing label circa 1925.

George Gershwin (piano), with Paul Whiteman and his Concert Orchestra, plays:
Rhapsody in blue (by George Gershwin, complete on two sides).

disc has a few light scratches, mostly silent, otherwise nice copy in VG+ condition.

Grading scale: N, E, VG, G (+ or - signs will modify the basic grade for slightly better or worse).

Shipping: shellac 78s are placed between squares of cardboard, bound with tape, then floated in styrofoam in the box.
This method of packing has proved very effective over the years for safely shipping fragile shellac 78s.
