LP : George Duke - The Inner Source
The album consists of 2 seperately recorded sessions: the SOLUS album was recorded in April 1971 and the INNER SOURCE was recorded in December of the same year. In 1973 MPS decided to release the 2 albums as a double-record set. This is the Original German pressing on MPS/BASF, 29 20912-1 on cover, red labels ( 1/2 with 33 20912-1 and S 3/4 with 29 20912-1). The gatefold-cover has extensive linernotes inside (in German and English). These recordings have it all: modal- & spiritual-jazz, latin-groove tracks like”My Soul”, fusion as in “Solus”, electronic space-sounds, afro-jazz rhythms, funky grooves, tons of fresh ideas, killer solos and more. Classic masterpiece, highly recommended !Line-up: On the SOLUS tracks it’s a trio of G.Duke/piano, Fender Rhodes & electric wurlitzer piano - John Heard/el. & acc.bass - Dick Berk/drums & percussion. On the INNER SOURCE session it’s the trio plus Jerome Richardson/flute, tenor- & sopranosax, Luis Gasca/flügelhorn & trumpet, Armando Perraza/congas

Condition: the records look & play in mint-. The gatefold-cover is in great shape, all seams/spine are intact without rub, front & back and inner are absolutely fine; overall mint-.
Zustand: die LPs sind optisch & akkustisch in mint-. Das Klapp-Cover ist in wirklich schönem Zustand, alle Kanten sind intakt und ohne Abrieb, Vorder- & Rückseite und Inneres sind superschön erhalten; insgesamt in mint-. alle Platten habe ich professionell gereinigt und angehört (meist ganz, manchmal in Ausschnitten). Kommen mit neuer Außen- & Innenhülle !

the record has been cleaned on my professional HANNL record cleaning machine

after that I playgraded it (completely or at least in parts) on my Rega Planar 9, Moving Coil cartridge by EINSTEIN:TU-3 Super Fine Line ( please consider that the playback might differ a bit depending on your own equipment )

I also visually graded the record in daylight, in normal artificial light & under a strong halogen lamp

only an unplayed record is mint, the highest grading for a used record is mint- ! My basic gradings are: mint – ex – vg

cleaned records are stored in a new pro innersleeve and they are placed in a PVC protection-sleeve
