Description
Gentle giant Octopus vinyl LP First UK press from 1972 on the vertigo swirl label Cat no. 6360 080 6360080 1Y//1 v 420 and 6360080 2Y//1 v 420 matrices
Vinyl is in really great condition. Very bright, clean and glossy with just a few light sleeve removal scuffs and marks and the odd light hairline visible under strong light. A great example. EX Audio is great. Plays through crisp and clear with no sticks or jumps and no distortion. Only minor surface can be detected between tracks and on the run ins. EX
Labels are still very clean with no writing, stickers or damage. Just a few light spindle marks on either side confined to round the centre hole. Not overplayed at all. EX Gatefold Sleeve is also in really great condition. Very solid with only light edge and shelf wear. Spine still very square and solid and perfectly readable. Opening edge still sharp. Some faint age related spots and discolouration on the inside of the gatefold but otherwise this is a nice copy. EX Original swirl inner is included which have no splits but one minor tear to the central hole and a few age related spots. Otherwise EX

Gradings;
Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc..
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Poor: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc.. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Bad: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
