STUNNING DOUBLE LIVE ALBUM from this UK progressive rock institution - captures all the complex twists and turns and an attitude that belies the nature of their music. By this point they had of course developed a sizeable following both at home and abroad but, conversally, there was absolutely no sign of them invading the mass concious ala Genesis, Jethro Tull or Pink Floyd. The simple explanation for this was that GG refused to compromise their musical ambitions, forgoing the yankee dollar for a life in the slow lane playing to a converted but vocal fan base or college graduates and loner-misfits. No girlfriends please.
This album is a forceful advancement of their masterplan. The time signatures are encouragingly difficult, the playing wildly inventive and the arrangements over ambitious - but never too ambitious to replicate in concert. Contains some great tracks including such stage favourites as 'Proclamation', 'On Reflection', 'Funny Ways', 'Freehand' and 'Peel The Paint'. A tour de force of progressive power!

This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Beautiful clean copy - all four sides are super clean. Just a couple of spindle marks on labels but no other signs of use. All four sides grade as top MINT-!
Cover: Again practically no signs of use. Superb gate-fold sleeve. No creases, no dings, no ring wear, no edge wear and no wear and tear. Spine is superb - straight, stiff and uncrushed. Grades as MINT-!
Inserts: Original 12 page booklet - often missing but not here!
