Description
Details This is a solid centre (small hole) copy of the single, with replica (home-made) copy of the original picture sleeve, which was originally the property of the Van Dike Club, a popular music venue that existed in Plymouth between 1968 and 1972. Needless to say, Genesis played there and this copy of the record was a promotional copy that was given to the club at some point in 1971. It has the Van Dike organisation stamp on both sides, though faded (I've included a close up shot of the label of the B-side, where the stamp is a little more visible. The record had been played a lot and has a fair amount of wear, mainly surface wear and the odd scratch - plus spindle marks, but is still playable. I've graded it G+.
The sleeve is a replica of the original that some enterprising fan has made and this did not come with the record, I think it came with another copy of The Knife I bought several years ago, though my memory is a little vague. But whoever made it, they did a really good job and it looks great! It even has the cut-out in the back.
This is worth getting for the record of course, which was once the property of Van Dike club and a very famous music venue.
