This was given to my husband by a friend who roadied for Genesis way back in '76, and has been tucked away in a record storage case for many years. My husband says he hardly played it, but it was not mint condition when he acquired it.
Genesis were/are a local band, with Collins, Banks and Rutherford all living in the close proximity of their studio "The Farm" in Chiddingfold, which is 4 miles down the road from my town.

You will notice dust and lint on the record in the photos. This is exactly as it came out of storage and as I am no expert in the rare vinyl field I was reluctant to attempt cleaning it. Rest assured that the record is in great condition with minor play marks. The sleeve is the first issue gatefold and does have slight wear from being slid in and out of a record collection, and also seems to have had some kind of sticker removed from the front, probably a promotional sticker. The inner sleeve is made of sturdy card and is in excellent condition.
My apologies for the low quality pictures, I only have a camera phone.
I no longer have a record player, so can not tell you about sound quality either.

After consulting an expert, it seems the sleeve is NOT the first issue "textured" version, but the vinyl is the 100% genuine article. It seems these white labels often came in just a plain white inner sleeve, so I imagine the first owner put it in the sleeve at a later date.
