GENESIS Selling England By The Pound UK LP. Charisma CAS 1074. Released 1973.
This auction is for a really nice original UK 1st pressing of their Selling England By The Pound LP released in 1973. It is complete with all true 1st press characteristics including:
Large Mad Hatter labels, A-1U B-2U Matrix, EJ Day Sleeve with B&C Records Credit, plus the much rarer Card Lyric Inner Sleeve (not a card insert).

Detailed Grading: -
Outer Sleeve: VG+ (Near EX-)
The gatefold sleeve is in VG+ condition although it would probably be closer to EX- in many people’s eyes. It shows very little in the way of general wear and tear and the edges and spine are all relatively unworn. There is some slight discoloration in a few different places, but most significantly some brown spotting to the lower section of the rear cover which is noticeable but at the same time does not overly spoil what is a very respectable example of this cover which is way above average condition for this sleeve.
Vinyl (Visual): VG+
The record has a moderate to significant amount of very fine hairline marks when viewed under bright halogen light. However, the hairlines are all very light and the fact that none are in any way deep means that they were almost certainly caused only by removal from the inner sleeve over the years.
Vinyl (Audio): EX
The audio grading of EX is considerably higher than the visual grade. This is due to the hairlines noted being so light as not to significantly translate into much in the way of unwanted surface noise. It’s not a Mint record and some small amounts of surface noise are present at times, but for the most part this LP gives is a really strong audio performance and sounds extremely good.

Clean with no writing or other notable damage. Very slight spindle marks visible under bright light.
Card Lyric Inner Sleeve: EX
The much rarer card Lyric Inner Sleeve is in Excellent condition. No condition points of real note and the seams are unsplit.
Overall, this is a super copy of this Genesis classic, complete with the rarer Lyric Inner Sleeve.
