This auction is for Genesis second album on Charisma records on the highly sought after Pink Scroll label and complete with correct first run matrix numbers A-1U B-2U

 
Detailed Gradings: -
 
Outer Sleeve: VG
 
The outer textured gatefold sleeve is in VG condition. The sleeve is very clean with no dirty marks, writing or other stains.  There is moderate wear to the top and bottom edges and a couple of very small areas of damage at the top of the spine (see photos), plus a faint crease running vertically down the front cover, although this is very faint and cannot be seen unless the sleeve is angled to bright light, otherwise unnoticeable. Overall a clean example with just moderate normal wear
 
Vinyl: VG
 
The vinyl is graded as VG. A moderate amount of general hairlines are visible under strong light, many of these would have been the result of removal from the sleeve. There are a couple of very small visible marks, but neither look particularly nasty.  The audio grading of this LP can be found below.  A decent copy overall

Side A: CAS 1052 A-1U 1 RH (HILTOP is etched)
Side B: CAS 1052 B-2U (JB is etched)
 
Labels: EX+
 
Very clean labels. There are quite a few light spindle marks only visible when held to strong light.
 
Inner Sleeve: Good
 
The generic white inner sleeve is in Good condition, and is generally tatty with staining and a small split in the seam. I will include a brand new inner sleeve in addition to ensure that the record is properly protected during transit.
 
Audio Grading: VG+
 
The LP played with a great dymanic range and clarity and certainly plays above it’s visual grading. There is some background noise in evidence which on the whole is not particularly noticeable.  I did note one louder click during the track Harlequin, but only during one rotation and the record played through in it’s entirety without any jumps or skips.  The more visible hairlines did not produce any notable additional noises. Overall this is a nice sounding copy and whilst not free of background noise it is a very respectable playable copy.
 
Overall this is a nice, used copy on the Charisma Pink Scroll Label.
 
Postage and Packing:
 
All records are been placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high grade type which re-inforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers.  My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use. Despite using high quality packing materials, I only charge the actual costs of postage.
