PLEASE CONSIDER THAT IN THESE EBAY AUCTIONS I USE A STRICT RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE GRADING SYSTEM THAT CAN'T DISAPPOINT ANYONE BUT THIS DOESN'T MEAN THAT ,FOR EXAMPLE, A VG+ COVER OR A VG+ VINYL IT'S EQUIVALENT TO "BAD CONDITIONS" BUT SIMPLY THAT MY GRADE IT'S STRICT AND PROBABLY EQUIVALENT TO AN EX OF SOMEONE ELSE WITH NOT A SO STRICT GRADE. I HAVE SOLD IN THESE AUCTIONS EX- RECORDS THAT WERE SURELLY M- COPIES BUT I PREFERE TO BE STRICT TO AVOID ANY DISAPPOINTEMENT BECAUSE I TAKE GREAT CARE OF MY REPUTATION.
Record Collector Magazine Grading System MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
graded VG+/VG for a strict Record Collector magazine grading system
label: the beautiful original UK pressed Pink "Scroll" Charisma it's quite well preserved but does have some more spindle marks around the center hole and this denote several playings so VG but apart this it doesn't have any other defect .
cover: the cover does have a beautiful textured structure and it's gatefold with lirycs and nice smal paintings for each song. I grade this cover VG+ because it does have a small removing sticker tear on the right upper corner of about 2 com of size plus some spine wear so some of the writings are partially readables only. The rest of cover it's nice and the first view it's excellent apart the small tear on the corner. In my humble opinion a very enjoyable cover!
vinyl: the vinyl does have visibles marks and some very evidents but they are not feelables and at first view my opinion it's that he will play with some lights crackles in the quieter moments but may play better than he look but I have to grade it visually VG- and I have to play it."The Musical Box" play with a minor background crackle with an intensity of 3/4 on a scale of 10 so quite disturbing but inesistent in the second part when the music it's more full and hight but when it's music it's more quiet this crackling it's listenable. I don't have heard clicks...and I have enjoyed really much... considering this little defect too because the pressing it's so wonderful!The second track it's "For Absent Friends" and it's plays still well but with a background crackling of about 3 on 10. The third track it's "The Return Of Giant Hogweed" and it play very well because the music it's exciting, full and very high so I don't have listened crackles that for super short periods and not disturbing absolutelly. The second side start with "Seven Stones" and under the mellotron and the starting voice you can hear some crackling but really not so much disturbing if not in the first seconds then he play well with some light clicks in the middle for about 10 times but of low level, about 1 on a scale of 10.The second track of side two it's "Harold The Barrell" and he plays really well and also in the quieter moments I can't listen disturbing crackles if not some more in the lasts seconds."Harlequin" it's a more quite track but the crackles it's listenable in the order of 1or 2 on a scale of 10 so with a normaland not critics listening it's close to nothing , I have listened 2/3 lights clicks too. The last song "The Fountain Of Salmacis" start with a magnificent mellotron solos and when he at the very beginning some crackling it's apreciable but then close to nothing for all the close 8 minutes. The conclusion it's forget it if you look for an Excellent or so copy but consider it without problems if you need a still super enjoyable original copy without spend a small fortune well over 100 pounds and more for a VG++ copy.
