Description
7″/45rpm
GENESIS: I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe) Phenomenally rare release from New Zealand. Beautiful copy in excellent condition - bordering close to near mint with minimal wear to the surface in the form of wispy lines, plus one or two faint scratches, but no scuff marks. The labels are practically clean on both sides with one very faint spindle mark on the B-side. I've graded the record as EX+, it really is a beautiful copy and I'm sure I don't have to tell you just how incredibly rare it is. I have only ever seen one other copy in 40 years of collecting. Sleeve, which is the original one as issued, shows signs of wear from handling, but is intact. I've graded this as VG-. I can provide more photos if required.NB: I am a private collector and have been collecting vinyl records – on and off, for well over 40 years, but now I really need the space, hence the reason for these listings! Media (record) graded first — visually under LED lighting, followed by the sleeve.
- Media Condition: EX+ (A-side) / EX (B-side)
- Sleeve Condition: VG-
Grading system
I use the standard grading system introduced by Record Collector to determine the condition of the records I am selling, with either a + or – added where necessary to provide a wider selection of grades for greater accuracy.
- Mint (M)
The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. - Excellent (EX)
The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. - Very Good (VG)
The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. - Good (G)
The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc. - Fair (F)
The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced. - Poor (P)
The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing. - Bad (B)
The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection-filler.
