Description
GENESIS Foxtrot 1972 VERY 1st UK Press EX/EX+ RARE LP
This record has been vacuum machine cleaned and test played in full on quality hi-fi. My grading is based on the UK record collector grading system. I will gladly combine postage on multiple items so check out my other records. Thanks
Very rare 1st possible 1972 UK press. 1st press textured gatefold sleeve by E J Day with ‘Marketed by B&C Records’, later pressings do not have this. B&C Records text is also featured on the labels; again this is not on later pressings. Hand etched in the run-off wax is ‘Porky’ on Side 1 and ‘Pecko’ on Side2. There is also the original red Charisma inner sleeve, so often missing from this rare LP. Matrix numbers are A1-U, B-1U. The title on the spine runs vertical down, this is only found on 1st pressings, later copies have the text going horizontally.
Vinyl Condition:- A nice lightly played EX. Gleaming vinyl with a couple of light surface marks on Side 1 and hardly anything visible on Side 2. Very nice clear sound quality with no trackwear at all, one or two light background clicks but only audible in very quite parts where the music is at its most sparce, not at all intrusive. This record has been fully test played before this auction on Rega RP3 deck, Rogers E40a valve amp and Quad ESL 57 ElectrostaticsSleeve Condition:- NEAR MINT Lovely condition, this sleeve looks almost as new
Label Condition:- NEAR MINT Hard to spot even a single spindle mark
This record seldom comes up for sale. Don't miss your chance!
I always reduce postage on multiple items. Each additional item will only be charged 50% the original postage cost worldwide. Check out my other rare vinyls!

Grading Abbreviations
Grading below is as stated from UK Record Collector. I also use +/- for records that fall somewhere between a grade
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
