Great copy with a little bit of history attached to it. This single was once the property of Mino Profumo, one of Italy – if not the world’s, biggest collectors of Gabriel-era Genesis vinyl and memorabilia. And he in turn had acquired it from an employee of Phonogram Records in Italy. Then I bought it from him a few years ago and it has been in my possession ever since.
It’s a lovely copy; it has been played, though handled with care and I would say condition-wise, it falls somewhere between EX and EX+ (B-side), and near mint (A-side) with just the slightest hint of wear; labels are clean on both sides with barely any trace of wear around the centre-hole – looks superb, and this is a tough single to find now in good shape. I’ve graded the sleeve as EX, there is some wear along the opening – visible from the front, plus a little ‘foxing’ across the top (see photo) and a crease from handling at the back (see photo), plus mild ring-wear pattern near the left-hand side (back), but apart from these minor flaws, the sleeve is flat with no seam splits, tears or writing and this is one of the finest examples I have ever seen.
