A nifty recent estate find....

A super spiffy copy of the original 1st pressing of the novelty tune that would become an all-time Christmas classic.  Gene Autry  - Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer / If It Doesn't Snow on Christmas Columbia MJV 56-1/2.  This is the original Picture Sleeve 78rpm single from 1949

Excellent condition to disc, and sleeve, both protected by the original Gift "Especially For You" envelope they've been in the last 71 years. that XMAS gift envelope is generally age-toned slightly and is blank, meaning there is no to-from gift inscription. perhaps it was never given.  all the better if you intend to give this to the 78 lover in your life..( which could be you , of course..it usually is in my house!)
