Description
This is a wonderful folk record. It's entitled 'Backwoods' and is by the brilliant Gay & Terry Woods. The record is a stereo pressing and was issued in 1975. It is pressed on the UK Polydor label (catalogue no. 2383322). Gay and Terry woods are joined by a number of talented musicians and the results are exquisite. This is a must for all serious folk and psychedelic collectors in my opinion.
OUTER SLEEVE - The sleeve is in almost perfect condition with virtually no wear on the front, back, edges or spine. There are copious sleeve notes about the songs which are featured and it states at the bottom rear of the sleeve - 'Printed and made in England by MacNeill Press Ltd.' I've graded the sleeve Ex++.
INNER SLEEVE - This is a plain white diecut type with a clear plastic lining. It is in Ex++ condition.
RECORD - This is in beautiful condition and there are hardly any surface marks on either side which result in almost no surface noise. There are very occasional pops and clicks but there are definitely no jumps or skips on either side. The labels which are the original red Polydor type with the company logo and black wording are in lovely condition. This record has hardly been played. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are - side one - 2383322 A//2 V 420 03 1 1 2 - side two - 2383322 B//1 V 420 03 1 1 3. I have graded the record as Ex++. I never grade anything as mint but I believe that this is not far off.
