ALTERNATIVE BEGGARS BANQUET LABEL
THIS IS A NOT TO BE MISSED EXTREMELY RARE PIECE OF NUMAN MEMORIBILA.
A VERY RARE ALTERNATIVE BEGGARS BANQUET LABEL ONLY PRODUCED IN VERY VERY LOW NUMBERS.
SUPER GREY / BLUE AND YELLOW / GOLD WITH A BEGGARS BANQUET RED LOGO .
CAT NUMBER BEG 199T.
I FOUND THIS A FEW YRS AGO AND DONE SOME RESEARCH INTO THIS LABEL BY CONTACTING WELL KNOWN GARY NUMAN COLLECTORS OF WHICH ALL DIDN'T NOT TO KNOW ITS ORIGIN.
Here are some replys I got from some of those collectors
"I thought they were Canadian pressings at first but the label clearly states Made In England so I guess it's a UK pressing."
"Nope, never seen these labels before!"
"Tried to Google the various BB labels but found nothing"
"It is a substantial change in direction for the label design, very different and unique"
"To tell you the truth, I can't ever remember coming across this label before, no idea where it would come from either I'm afraid. It looks nothing like anything I've seen before either....Numan or otherwise....7/12/or albums!!!!!"
I then contacted Beggars Banquet to which I got this email
"The WEA contract with Beggars ran out in 87. These were the new Beggars labels used from 88 to early 90's.
This was the very last batch of Cars E Reg 12",probably used for export."A handfull of these have surfaced in the past few yrs but still this import/new label has eluded some die hard collectors
VINYL IS IN V GOOD CONDITION
LABELS ARE V GOOD
COVER IS IN GOOD CONDITION
(has a sticker in top left you could always change with a spare cover )
