 This unique concert was recorded at the London Hippodrome on October 25, 2007. It formed a part of the launch for the Jimi Hendrix "Live At Monterey" program and featured Gary Moore and his band performing classic Hendrix tracks. At the end of the night Gary was joined by Mitch Mitchell and Billy Cox of the Jimi Hendrix Experience for three tracks. Gary Moore was one of the finest British guitarists of all time and is one of the few players who could pay homage to Jimi Hendrix's groundbreaking and truly distinctive guitar style. This is a stunning tribute from one master guitarist to another.

Gary Moore's Blues And Beyond is a remarkable collection of his powerful and emotive blues studio recordings.

Best known for his evocative solo hits, "Parisienne Walkways" (a live version feature in this set) and "Still Got The Blues", and his on/off membership of Thin Lizzy, Gary Moore's solo career comprises over twenty albums. Throughout the 1980s, Gary moved up the rock hierarchy, but turned his back on what he regarded as the empty flash of metal and reverted to his heart music - the blues - where ironically he scored his biggest commercial success through his 1990s and 2000s blues albums.

As well as running his own bands, during a successful solo career, Gary mixed with the best that rock and blues could offer, playing live and on record with George Harrison, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Greg Lake, BB King, Albert King, Albert Collins and many others. Gary was also the guitarist many looked up to, not just for the terrifying speed of his fretwork, but for the passion, fire and honesty in his playing.

This 4LP set is housed in an awesome double gatefold "AxeWax" vinyl and features a number of Gary Moore's blues studio recordings, most of which have never appeared on vinyl.

The 1990 album by Gary Moore, "Still Got the Blues", marks a change in style, switching from jazz-fusion and hard rock styles to an electric blues style. Moore received assistance for this album from the likes of Albert King, Albert Collins and George Harrison.

The title track reached No. 97 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 1991.

After the War is the eighth studio album by Irish guitarist Gary Moore, released in 1989. The track 'Led Clones' features Ozzy Osbourne sharing lead vocals with Moore. The song pokes fun at bands such as Kingdom Come, who were quite popular at the time and were based on a Led Zeppelin type sound and image. Moore again pays tribute to the memory of his long-time friend and colleague Phil Lynott with the song 'Blood of Emeralds'.

If you haven't discovered the late Gary Moore, you're in for a treat. Great blues, real blues, not the kind that gets lost in minutes of screaming guitar. Souful, somewhat sad voice, some gorgeous slow blues. Gary Moore was a fantastic player, and one heckuva great songwriter and more than passable singer. Not only does this collection contain 5 of his best albums but several of them also include a nice brace of BONUS Tracks and ALL are from the more recent RE-Mastered collection.... So ... in a very space saving package you get 5+ hours of one of the true greats.... from Rock to Blues this has it all... There is a reason Eric Clapton covered a Gary Moore song on his new album and why Joe Bonnamassa named one of his Les Paul Guitars "Gary Moore"....
Terrific collection, excellent value. I had all these but purchased again for carrying in my car. Never want to be without some MOORE great music if the need strikes me.
LASTLY - A SEALED CD COPY OF LIVE AT BUSH HALL 2007 - The late Gary Moore was one of the finest and most respected guitarists of his generation. This show, recorded at London's Bush Hall on May 17th, 2007, was originally broadcast by Planet Rock radio. This is the first time the recording has been made available outside of this original broadcast. The concert features a number of tracks from Gary's then newly released 'Close As You Get' album, many of which he rarely played live after this, alongside classics from his extensive back catalogue. Gary Moore was a great live performer and this CD will be a welcome addition to any fan's collection.
