GARY BURTON Quintet -Throb UK ORIGINAL 1st PRESSING PLUM ATLANTIC reviewed with 5 Stars LP. Of the early lps, this and Lofty Fake Anagram were my two favourites. The magnificent Steve Swallow is the bassist and includes Jerry Hahn on Guitar. It's post bop modal with a slightly rock informed edge in places. Excellent all round, just small issues to rear, partial ring wear, a tiny blank sticker and a small dry darker area where the price sticker was removed more than a decade ago. This is in the typical form of the time, UK plum labels lp in the US gatefold sleeves, which they could send over without having much import tax one, and without the disc, no notching to avoid a charge. It was also a canny way of knowing how many lps Polydor could press without the expense of extra sleeves. Our ethos is to offer you best sounding analogue only pressings of vintage records. Here is another beauty of that type. We offer massive postage subsidies to overseas buyers on multiple purchases. i.e £1 extra per lp to a maximum of £15, then no extra charge. We pack carefully in custom made hard card boxes. If the appearance or playgrade suggests it requires it, our records are cleaned on a wash and vac machine, using art du son fluid in distilled water. This is already in a new heavy poly outer with antistatic inners added with outer sleeve and records all layered behind each other to prevent splits.
