Description
This is an Extremely RARE vinyl LP record album titled "Just For Fun" by Gary Burghoff and his Mardi Gras Celebration Jazz Band. The record label is Shalom Records and it was released in 1977. The album features dixieland jazz music which features Gary Burghoff (“Corporal Radar O’Reilly” from the movie and television show “M*A*SH*”) on drums and vocals. Some musicians appear courtesy of Pete Fountain. The album is in very good condition and the sleeve is in very good plus condition. The record is a 12" vinyl LP with a speed of 33 RPM and was made in the United States. The album grading is very good (VG) and the sleeve grading is very good plus (VG+).
The only flaw to this otherwise great condition is that the vinyl has has some weird markings like a bad attempt to clean the vinyl or perhaps how it was manufactured?!?! If held up to certain lighting it looks like hairline scratches but they do not affect the sound. However there is some static crackle on the quieter parts like on Gary’s spoken intro but whenever the band kicks in it sounds great!!!
The performer orchestra includes Don Suhor on clarinet, Jim Duggan on trombone, Gary Burghoff on drums and vocals, Jim Weber on trumpet, Paul McGinley on tenor sax, Bob Mollinelli on piano, and Oliver “Stick” Felix on bass.
This item will be shipped in a heavy duty cardboard mailer with the record inside a new poly lined inner sleeve, along with the original inner sleeve and cover protected by a polyethylene outer sleeve.
