Description

Hello, all items are carefully packed.
I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
Please see below for grading details.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
I never ship records inside the picture covers!
All records are sent out in PVC cover.
GALLERY.

THE WIND THAT SHAKES THE BARLEY.
1972 MIDAS STEREO LP.
I have no buy it now price for this item.
Overseas post via the Global Shipping Programme only.
This LP comes with a very rare business card + a letter with 3 songs that would not be released!
This was the bands own copy sent to BBC radio Leeds in 1973.
This must rate as one of the most rare UK folk records to be offered on Ebay due to the letter that comes with this. This very copy of the LP was sent by the band to BBC radio Leeds back in the day to get some air play.  Inside the cover is a letter that is headed with a Gallery sticker and dated 5-5-73.
The letter gives some information on the tracks and they also included the words to 3 new songs that would be on the next Gallery. These songs never got recorded as the next LP came out many years later! The songs are called The Lady In Green / Where I`ll Find You / Is This The Time.
Also included is a very rare Gallery business card.
The record is very valuable in its own right, with the other bits that are included this makes this a once in a lifetime opportunity!
The condition of the disc is visually not perfect, this is also stated in the letter from the band. Please see the close up picture above from this section.
The Record / Good / G condition. The disc has lots of surface wear and light marks. The record still plays ok but does have some surface crackle plus some ticks. The record plays more VG but is NOT perfect. The record does not jump or stick. The letter states about the condition of the disc as this was the bands own copy and they was waiting for more to be pressed. See the pictures above. As this disc is graded as G condition it is not a high grade copy or for a fussy buyer who needs top condition items. The disc would sell for £1000 in EX+ shape. This example has the very rare extras that will never be seen again for sale!
The Cover / VG condition / The cover has some storage wear with a clean 2 cm tear to the opening edge. The cover has old radio library stamps in 2 corners. The cover has some creasing but it is still in solid shape for a non laminated cover.
The Labels / EX- condition / Some spindle marks only.
The Inner Cover / VG+ condition.  This inner also has a BBC sticker.
The Letter / This is a 5 page hand written letter in biro pen. The letter is in EX condition and has lived inside the LP cover for 50 years.
The Card / EX superb condition. The card has nice gold print, this is a very rare item!
PLEASE NOTE THIS ITEM WILL NEVER BE RELISTED IF IT DOES NOT SELL. I HAVE BEEN OFFERED THE STARTING PRICE FROM A DEALER SOME TIME AGO. AS THIS IS A ONE OFF I WANTED TO SELL THIS MYSELF.
I USE THE UK GRADING SYSTEM BELOW.
Mint - as new and in perfect condition.
Excellent - A real nice example with light wear only. An EX disc will play great and the cover will be very nice too.
Very Good - The disc will have light surface wear and some light marks. The record will still play very well but may have some surface sound and a little crackle as this is graded as VG. The cover will have some creasing and storage age wear.  The disc and cover will have no very serious faults. A VG disc and cover will also not be perfect!
Good / G condition - The disc will have very visible surface wear and light marks with some deeper marks. The cover will show much age wear and will not be the best example! The record will still play but will have surface sound and ticks etc.
Fair - This will be a tatty example of both disc and cover. The record will play with surface sound and noise. The cover will look tatty from age and storage wear.
Bad / Poor -This will be a badly worn example of both record and cover. The disc may jump or play with much surface sound. I would rarely sell an item like this.

Thanks for looking.
