Description

Prestige PRLP 7006 with 446 W. 50th St., NYC address on both labels and bottom of back cover. Deep groove, yellow label.. 6 tracks includes Max McElroy (2nd Baritone Sax on “Mullenium”); Allen Eager, tenor sax; Nick Travis, trumpet; Jerry Harowitz (trumpet solo on “Bweebida Bobbida”); Ollie Wilson, trombone; George Wallington, piano; Phil Lerkin, bass; Walter Bolden, drums; Gail Madden, maracas. 1 tune (all of side B) has Eager, tenor sax; Wallington, piano; Lerkin, bass; Bolden, drums; Madden, maracas. Recorded 8/27/51. Rare, original 12” LP edition. Cover: VG. Entire top edge and spine have split. Some light aging on the back cover. Tear on top edge of notes on the back cover (no paper loss). Cover art by Bob Parent. Gloss front cover. Record: VG+ to mint(-). Visually shows no 19.99wear. Possibly played only a few times. 1 tiny mark at the very end of the track 2, side A causes a couple of clicks and 1 small skip. There is a very small amount of groove noise at the beginning of Side A which disappears soon after the beginning of the tune. Balance of Side A and all of Side B has no surface noise. The “Noise” mentioned is slight, though audible. My overall grading takes this into consideration. Audibly checked.
