GEORGE HARRISON - 'ALL THINGS MUST PASS'
This NEAR MINT earliest possible UK 1st pressing of George's magnificent 3-LP box set dates from day of release in November 1970 and carries the collective catalogue number: STCH 639
Each disc bears a custom Apple Record label, but this rare, early set OMITS the: 'ESSEX INT.' and 'MECOLICO BIEM NCB' publishing credits from labels 1, 2, 3 & 4 which are found on all but very first pressings.
Matrix numbers: Disc 1: YEX 817-1U/818-1U. Disc 2: YEX 819-1U/820-1U. Disc 3: YEX 821-1U/822-1U
Stamper codes: Disc 1: 1/R, 1/O Disc 2: 1/T, 2/GM. Disc 3: 2/A, 2/A
Vinyl weight: 1. 141g. 2. 140g. 3. 137g
The whole set is housed within an approx. 2cm deep hinged box 'MADE AND PRINTED IN GREAT BRITAIN'.
The inside of the lower tray is uncovered and shows just plain brown card. To compensate for this, a plain piece of white corrugated cardboard was placed inside these early copies. That original factory insert is present here.
The large fold-out poster of George is included and was also 'MADE AND PRINTED IN GREAT BRITAIN'.
The discs themselves are housed with three textured, coloured USA printed inner-sleeves (no UK inner-sleeves were printed).

All labels are fresh, clean & unblemished with just a single spindle mark to the side 2 & 3 centre hole but none whatsoever on any of the other.
Visual: MINT
Every playing surface is in flawless, 'factory-fresh condition with a pristine, deep-gloss totally unblemished by any surface marks or wear in strong daylight OR directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp. Each disc lies 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: MINT
These discs have clearly been barely, if ever been played and the sound is completely unworn and wonderful throughout.
Box: NEAR MINT
A superb strong and unworn example with a clean & unblemished front panel with no writing or missing paper to any area. All corners of both the lid and tray are unbumped and unsplit the textured rear panel is unscratched and unmarked. Inside is bright & clean on both sides - again with no marks, writing or missing paper. There is a hint of shelfwear to the lower/rear edge but the delicate hinge is fully intact and unsplit. All of the gold coloured lettering on the spine is clean, clear and complete. Tough to find a better early example
Inner-sleeves: NEAR MINT
Each is perfectly clean & flat with just an unavoidable faint disc impression from storage but no seam splits to any.
