Description
A very rare copy of Fruupp's pioneering progressive rock masterpiece on Dawn records. I purchased this copy used in the late 80s and have cared for it well ever since.
Cover shows some shelf wear and residual sticker marks in the upper right front (probably the price sticker). Minor ring wear is evident. No tears in spine. Paper insert with lyrics/liner notes is intact and clean.
LP housed in paper sleeve with plastic lining, "Made in England" is stamped on it so I suspect this is the original sleeve.
LP grooves show minor scuff marks under bright light. I have not listened to this in years so I played through both sides just now and this sounds fantastic, like a new record. Yes there are a few ticks and pops and yes there is very minor surface noise to be heard between tracks. But this is all part of the vinyl experience and brand new lps have as much, if not more, surface noise. Played back on a VPI HW-19 MK III with Rega RB300 arm and Sumiko Blue Point Special...in the time I have owned this it has only felt the needle of a properly set up high end cartridge.
There is a very slight circle mark around the LP spindle hole made from the record clamp on my old Ariston RD-40 turntable. This is not a sign of abuse, just a mark that old clamp would make.
