Description:  rare privately pressed xian rock / funk LP with an AOR vibe here and there and even some psyched out moments - some heavy bizzare synth usages too.  Check the more detailed review below.  Cover is VG++ showing very minimal age / wear while the vinyl is M-, next to perfect.
"From the booming metropolis of Pinckneyville, Illinois comes The Friends Of J C, a nine-member male/female Catholic group with some good electric custom edges. Side one is especially strong. ‘Do You Love The Lord’ opens the album with a primitive strutting semi-hardrock riff, followed by more delicate moods on the lovely mellotron— backed acoustic track ‘There’s Only One’. ‘I’ll Sing About Jesus’ is an excellent creative prog—edged track that relies heavily on synthesizer for a more modern sound ‘Can You Really Make Love’ ensues with some choice lead guitar. No solid comparisons come to mind though there are glimmers of some of the more progressive female-vocal keyboard bands of the same era like Love Chapter Band, Patmos and The Last Adam. Up to this point you wouldn’t even know they were Catholic – that is until side two opens with three of Dan Schutte’s songs (of the St. Louis Jesuits): ‘You Are My Sons’, ‘You Are Near’ and ‘With Merry Dancing’, followed by ‘Love’ from the musical In My Father’s Name. Their light rock interpretations here seem competent enough, but you’ll mainly want this one for the more original and impressive ?rst side. (The Archivist, 4th edition by Ken Scott)."

I grade my LPs VERY conservatively and accurately under a bright light.  A description of the grading scale is below:
M: MINT - perfect.  vinyl is pristine / cover is flawless and/or sealed
M- : just under mint.  a very, very slight amount of wear on the cover or inaudible wear on the vinyl (surface wear from age, generally) but is otherwise flawless
VG+: vinyl / cover shows signs minor signs age or wear that are more or less undistinct / inaudible.
VG: vinyl / cover shows some visible wear / age but is overall in very good shape.  pops and clicks may be ever so slightly noticeable, but don't effect play or overall listening experience.
VG-: vinyl / cover shows some relatively apparent age but is in overall good shape and still a fine copy to own / play.  
G+: vinyl shows some heavy wear but overall sounds decent.  cover has some flaws or shows much age
G: vinyl is in pretty rough shape visibly but plays ok.  cover shows a lot of age or has some major splits or tears.  
G-: vinyl looks / sounds pretty rough.  cover has major condition issues such as water damage, large rips, etc
*a double "+" or "-" indicates that the condition is just above or below the neighboring grade

All my records are packed tight and securely in custom LP mailers between two 12" cardboard pieces with the vinyl removed from the covers to preserve their condition during shipping.
