I remember when I buy this record, more than 25 years ago, I did not know the band or its rare value. By that time, I was a vinyl junkie, collecting everything which sounds strange and looks psychedelic, experimental, bizzare and unknown. I was looking for avant guard and underground rock from 60's and 70's. Every week I buy new second-hand old records...but this one was allways a strange album. No one knew this band (among collectors) and everybody use to laugh about my crazy tastes forthings nobody cares...everybody were allways looking for The Byrds, The Nice, The Doors; Janis Joplin, Hendrix, etc. When I start to listen this guys I was amazed by this total strange cave-phonical vocals, tremendous underground and so arcaic and naif at the same time. It sounds like UK progressiv, but very deep, and the most complex dramatic pedestrian electronic cave man sound I ever heard.
The surrealistic cover looks like an Yves Tanguy painting, but ist's a little bit damage, with hand writtings and so...as you can imagine, since the day it came to my hands, nothing more happens to this rare copy.
Bealive me it's not easy to sell this record. I know I will never get another one. This is music that doesn't exist anymore, this is a piece of Art from the best period of the XX century rock music revolution. We know Stockhausen and Coltrane are great in their fields. We know Rolling Stones are famouse...but the mystic of the underground is far more interesting, ....the legends of the unknown obscure genious artists, the radicals which never came out of the cave, the freaks which build the best years in rock music (1967 - 1973), melting moogs and electrifying spaces, with romantic naif psych melodies, are the great experience. Who cares about Led Zeppelin when you can get a copy of Incredible Hog or Leaf Hound? Who cares about Joan Baez when you can get a Nick Drake? Who cares about weather Report or JL Ponty when you can get Soft Machine?....and who cares about the virtous Soft Machine & Yes when you can get Freedoms Children? Who cares about a stupid Matisse painting when you can get a painting made by a crazy old man, living in a stone house in the mountain, inspired by some subjectiv demential mysticism? It's better a naif three head monster draw then a super fashion contemporary art instalation.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD Plus (G+): Between (VG) and (G)  

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

My answer to an e-mail from someone who had this exactly record once, saying this was a low quality vinyl pressing, allways with surface noise:
"Hi again,you were right about some light-surface vinyl smooth noise during the record playing, althought it's almost impossible not to listen any kind of sound in a 36 years old second hand record. Visualy grade it's Mint, but listening is EX, maybe EX+...well, anyway it's a miracle this vinyl in this condition, because when you see the cover you think the record is in very much worst condition...one thing it's true: this was the only copy I ever saw, and believe me I've saw thousands and thousands of LPs in all my life (I used to dig in old music stores, even accept to work for free in old radio stations only because of the record bibliotech, I had even gonne buy lps at places no one ever imagine), so, as an ex-vinyl junkie, accept my word on this one.Today it's only possible to get this record EXCEPT from a big dealer or from another collector.
    I'm sorry but I'm not interest in trades because I stop collect vinyl records. Now I need money, and this both Freedom's Children are the most rare LPs I have, so...About the quite parts, probably you'll hear some surface noise, but I never notest this was a bad pressing(?). Ofcourse is not a USA late 60's Cannonn Ball Aderley pressing, but Akarma or GetBack re-issues are much worst than this Parlophone one. Pressings are, sometimes, a matter of lucky...anyway, good or bad, there's no way to escape the fact this original is Rare as hell...I understand the fact of someone want so bad a collection piece, but cannot afford the price because is too high (I experienced that many times), so u can also imagine is not easy to sell parts of my last 30 years colecting....It's the first time I put this LPs for sell, and many collectors, I personaly know, have tryed to trade or buy this ones from me...now I'm selling here without saying anything to them...the price I'm asking is not cheap, I know...but is less expensive than other ASTRA lp I've saw been sold around the world in internet...take yourself a look around. best regards my friend."
