FREE - 'TONS OF SOBS'
This superb sounding UK pressing of their debut album dates from summer 1969.
As with all early copies, it was pressed by Philips and is on the textured pink 'i' Island label: ILPS-9089.
Matrices: ILPS+9089+A2 & ILPS+9089+B2
Vinyl weight: 163g
The disc is housed in a very unusual, possibly unique, gatefold cover.
When compared to a correctly printed cover, you can see this example has a whole host of errors on both the front and rear panels.
The colours are out of register and the group and title appear in different colours on the front AND back panels.
The rear cover text is indistinct but also appears upside down on the front panel. There is also ghosting of the main image on both panels.
The spine text appears at both ends of the spine, rotated and in different colours.
This 'Ernest J Day' printed cover is complete with its original & correct poly-lined inner-sleeve.

An immaculate & vibrant pair showing no more than one or two barely visible spindle trails around each centre hole.

Pristine, factory-fresh playing surfaces bearing just one or two wispy marks from the inner-sleeve beneath halogen light.

Flawless & wonderful sound quality throughout.
Cover: EXCELLENT
This exceptionally rare cover is clean & strong throughout with unrubbed/unworn outer panels where the unique colours are vibrant and unfaded. There is a little shelfwear to the corner tips, but all opening edges are undamaged. Both panels inside the gatefold are 'as new'. The misprinted spine is unworn and perfectly readable and all seams are smooth, unstressed & unsplit. You won't find another like this.
