Description
An original 1st press of Fire & Water on the UK Island label. Matrix A1/B1. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover with the original Basing Street address for Island Records. Also included is the original inner sleeve date coded to June 1970 [0670] - the month of release. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intro and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All we could detect was a touch of light static in one or two isolated moments. In reality very little at all and certainly nothing remotely invasive. The audio on offer, here, is impressive and a testament to just how good Free were at the height of their powers.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Lovey clean front and back with only minor handling wear. Edge wear is mostly light and the text on the spine is still legible. Overall the cover still retains very good rigidity and remains an impressive example.
Inner (Vg+) In good shape with no splits. Some light ageing though.
