Freddie Terrell's Soul Expedition
S/T (Lefevre Sound) (1972) (MLSP-3101)
Record Grade: STRONG VG (multiple small surface scratches (heavier on side 1), that at times affect play on the tracks "We Gonna Make It" and "I'll Be Standing By". See audio clips for actual play example. Very clean vinyl.)
Cover: VG- (Shelf and ring wear on front and back, small left corner crease, all around spine wear, no seam splits, price tag stain on top right)

Here is the deep funk grail out of Georgia. It still blows my mind that this record got funded from a church pastor! This record has literally everything to satisfy the funk and soul fan. Four heavy deep funk tracks, three beautiful catchy as hell sweet soul tunes and even a bluesy soul instrumental to round out the mix, all of which is under the influence of Freddie Terrel’s masterful guitar technique. A solid LP, all the way around.
Admittedly the cover is not in the best condition, and while visually the vinyl is a VG, the play on this record is a still monster! Here is the run down: Absolutely no skips. The deep funk tunes are all a solid play, including: Itching (1, maybe 2 pops during the middle of the track), Night Life (Plays fine), I Don't Know What This World Is Coming To (Plays Fine) and Get Down On It (my personal favorite, plays fine). The worst playing tracks on the album are 2 and 3 (We Gonna Make It, I’ll Be Standing By), which play pretty well, with occasional light pops sounding.
This is a solid copy of this rare as hell lp which, basically, unless you plan on encasing this in carbonite and staring at it under gallery lighting, you will be totally satisfied with.
