Description

Here is the complete Limited Edition The Ormandy Era Philadelphia Orchestra 6 Box Sets 30 SP's and Signed Book. This 6 volumes album box sets was distributed by the Franklin Mint Record Society. The collection captures 4 decades of the finest moments of the Philadelphia Orchestra conducted by Eugene Ormandy. Performances were remastered from original mono and/or stereo master tapes via CBS and RCA companies. Comes with a book "The Maestro" signed by Eugene Ormandy. The advertisement released by the Philadelphia Orchestra Association states the edition was limited to 5,000.

We did not select grading for the LP's nor the sleeves as we do not have knowledge of that system. When received in 1980 I am sure my father opened them and may have played one or two and then he put them on a shelf. He did not play records much, mostly his huge CD collection. These have been in storage since about 2010. None of the records appears to be warped or scratched. The boxes do show wear on the corners from storage/shelves. One picture shows the corner wear that appears on all but the Maestro. The back of one box a scratch mark about 1 inch long.  One record is in a Columbia Music sleeve. The pictures include the contents on each record. We have several 400 CD carousels and playing records seems like a lot of work!

We are selling these AS IS with no returns, we currently have no way to test the records and would hesitate to play them if we did for fear of damage. Shipping and handling will include insurance. We have wrapped the boxes in plastic, and will include lots of bubble wrap. Pay Pal Only.
