Description

Frank Zappa We're Only In It For The Money NEW ZEALAND Verve LP 1972 Deep Groove
EXTREMELY Scarce NEW ZEALAND issue of Zappa classic on the DEEP GROOVED VERVE label with a USA styled UNIPAK sleeve - ie- opening from the inside but with internal sleeve flaps.
Possibly Zappa and the Mothers scared the bejesus out of the NZ Record Execs here and didnt get a release until later. This could be anything from 1970 to 1972 in terms of vintage. Whats cool about this is the period cover with the internal flaps used in the cover construction, plus the old style VERVE label.
Record in POOR / BAD condition. Pretty much label value only but a ridiculously rare press that sold in absolutely MINUTE amounts. The New Zealand record buying public were just not ready for Zappa when this was issued here and needless to say, absolutely no Record Company promotion.
Sleeve is in GOOD condition. Sleeve was unlaminated, fragile and suffered wear as a result. This one has suffered a seam split and spine wear. "The Mothers" is visible still on the spine. On the plus side, no writing, stickers or tears.
Labels are clean and have no writing, stickers or tears on them. See photos.
I have years of experience buying and selling records so please bid with confidence
