Sleeve Condition: VERY GOOD.

Sleeve is a generic plain white cover,so of not much consiquence. It has a split on the each of the spines nearest the opening, the back writing spine is mint, has some ring wear and Frank Zappa written in blue felt pen and the cat. no, written in black biro pen next to it.

Vinyl Condition, Visual: EXCELLENT.

A lovely shiny copy with only a few hairline surface marks that generally don't affect play.

Vinyl Condition, Audible: EXCELLENT.

Plays beautifully with only the very lightest of surface noise noticeable only in between some tracks.

Label Condition: EXCELLENT-MINT.

Test pressing label is generally mint. Has the title and tracks hand written. No sign of any spindle marks, no ring wear.

Review:

Waka/Jawaka is an album by Frank Zappa, released in 1972. The album is the jazz-influenced precursor to The Grand Wazoo, and, as the front cover indicates, sequel of sorts to 1969's Hot Rats. Miles Davis's Bitches Brew-era influence is readily apparent on this and its sister album, The Grand Wazoo. The title is an onomatopoetic reference to the rhythmic guitar sound that was becoming popular at the time.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (US version of this term: Near Mint): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (US version of this term: VG++): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (US version of this term: VG): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits etc.
