It is with great pleasure and I am excited to offer this recording for one of Ava Gardner’s heirs.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a slice of both Hollywood and Music history from two of the most famous icons in entertainment.

Ava and Frank were married in the 50s but remained great friends throughout their lives.

This recording is one of only three known; one is in the Ava Gardner Museum and the additional two are owned by Ava’s heir. According to Ava’s heir, Ava said the song was recorded specifically for Ava by Frank as “his song to her”.

 “You’re My Thrill” was written and composed by Jay Gorney and lyrics by Sidney Clare in 1933. While never released by Frank Sinatra, it was recorded by Doris Day, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole and a host of others starting in 1933. It has since been recorded by other contemporary artists.

Frank apparently performed this song three times on radio (NBC's "Light Up Time" show): 12/29/49, 2/10/50, and 3/22/50. The 2/10/50 show was released on a "grey market" CD some time ago and includes this song. He once sang it as a duet with Dorothy Kirsten on 5/31/50 (Source, internet data search & blogs)

I do my best to be accurate with record condition. I play records as I list as some can look and play differently.

Given the historical value and being an acetate, I have NOT tried any cleaning whatsoever.

NM- Nearly Mint, but has been played. No visible signs of wear or damage.

E+  Plays like new, with very, very few signs of handling, such as tiny scuffs from being slipped in and out of jackets.

E Still very shiny, near new looking, with no visible signs of wear, but a few inaudible scuffs and scratches.

E- Still shiny but without the luster of a new record, few light scuffs and scratches some audible noise but minimal

V+ Average condition 78 in which scuffs and general use has dulled the finish somewhat. Wear is moderate but playing is generally free from distortion. Surface noise not overly pronounced.

V Moderate, even wear throughout, but still very playable. Surface noise and scratches audible but not intrusive.

V- Quite playable still, but distortion and heavy greying in loud passages. Music remains loud in most passages. Surface noise and scratches well below music level.

G+ Grey throughout but still serviceable. Music begins to sound muffled. Heavy scratches.

G Quite seriously worn and scratched, but music level is still higher than surface noise.

G- Music still prominent, but wear and scratch damage extensive.

F Most of music remains audible over surface noise, but listening quality is compromised.

Record will be sandwiched in appropriate corrugated pads, in an oversized box and padded with newspaper or other suitable protection.

Records are suspended in the center of the box and away from the sides to ensure their safety.
