Description
Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.
Grading is based on visual inspection.
Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve. and a soft poly inner sleeve.
I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.
- Frank is 100! Celebrate his incredible life and career.
- This White Label Promo is a First Pressing that has never been played.
- The matrix runouts are RE-1 & RE-1.
- The collectability factor of this copy is increased by the very rare White Label with the Sinatra photo Reprise label.
- The paper on board gatefold cover has tight seams, a stiff spine and shows no wear. The Promo sticker is upper left front.
- Inserts include: A 23" x 34" poster (never unfolded until these photos), a 9" x 12" textured photo (on heavy stock) and a PR photo of Sinatra wearing an Ol' Blues Eyes Is Back sweatshirt. Seller says that reliable sources told him it was not an easy task to get Sinatra to put on that sweatshirt and pose for this photo. This PR photo was a separate publicity item not an inclusion in the album.
- The original inner sleeve has the WB Loss Leaders catalog. I have included a soft poly inner sleeve.
- This is a one-owner that Seller got new from WB in 1973. It has been in storage for 42 years.
Sinatra returned from his brief retirement with the appropriately titled Ol’ Blue Eyes Is Back. Released amidst a whirlwind of publicity, the album was a commercial success, earning gold status and peaking just outside of the top-ten on the UK and Billboard album charts.
The album was accompanied by a television special, Magnavox Presents Frank Sinatra, which reunited Sinatra with Gene Kelly.
