Description
Two 12" LP (33 1/3 rpm) acetate records (4 sides) containing a speech given before a live audience by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright in Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 11, 1956.
According to the label information, this event was recorded by WCCO Television, the local CBS affiliate. There is no indication of where in Minneapolis the speech was given. In the speech Wright discusses the role & interrelationships of architecture with society, culture & the academic community. His comments & observations are infused with humor.
These records are UNIQUE!!! There are probably no other copies in existence. This is a reference recording not intended for commercial sale or release.

The recording is not high fidelity, but the condition of the records is MINT MINUS, which is very clean indeed. They have been seldom if ever played since being put on a shelf years ago. The white powder visible in the photos is from oxidation, which is typical of old acetate recordings. It can be easily cleaned off. I leave it to the ultimate owner to use the method of his or her choice. I acquired the records at an estate sale 10-15 years ago & just recently rediscovered them in my archives.
