Description
Once again I have the pleasure of making available a rare piece of Beatles vinyl. What we are offering here, for a no reserve auction, is a very nice copy of the second Beatles 45 EP from Capitol Records titled “Four By The Beatles”, catalogue # EAP 1-2121. This Record has been in the collection of a top forty DJ for many years and is a very nice survivor. Like most of his rare items he kept it in a vinyl sleeve. This disc itself appears excellent with a high gloss surface but under bright light I see light scratching and a small smudge of unknown origin. Labels are a bluish green and are perfect without notations or markings. Since many of you asked for more pictures on my earlier Beatle listings I’ve pictured both sides of the disc and jacket. Original chip board jacket has a few minor issues. Jacket does not have cut through as it appears that scotch tape was placed along the top and bottom seam when wear first appeared. There is also a ¾” scotched taped tear on the back side of the pocket opening. Strange, that although tape has been added, there is no ring wear on the jacket itself. Selections: Roll Over Beethoven 2:24, All My Loving 2:04, This Boy 2:11 and Please Mister Postman 2:34. Interesting to note that this disc auction will end just one day after it turns 48 years old.
