Description
This is part of a large auction featuring Vee-Jay/King/Federal labels. Lots of cool blues, R&B and doo-wop here, with some bonus listings as always. Check back in a couple of weeks for a small label R&B auction.
Here's the info on this item:
Release: The Diablos ft. Nolan Strong – The Way You Dog Me Around / Jump, Shake And Move
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1955
Notes: Purple label first pressing with visible push marks. Early single by this group out of Detroit. One of the more underrated acts of the R&B era. This is their one record that spent one week on the Billboard charts. Great B-side on this one as well with excellent guitar work by Bob Edwards.
Vinyl Condition: VG+, Vinyl itself is in great shape with basically no wear. It plays well and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. Labels have some light scuffing, but no tears, writing stickers. Top notch copy overall.
Sleeve Condition: VG, outer sleeve is blank, but I believe it's original - I can't find any indication that Fortune had printed company sleeves. Has some light wrinkling and a small pencil number. Not perfect condition, but displays nicely.
I want buying from me to be a good experience for you. I also know that condition can be very subjective, so I encourage you to see pics for exact condition details and ask questions if you need additional information. As always, the item you see is the one you will get. Please see my feedback, I think that will show that I am an accurate and fair grader and make sure my customers are happy.
I will combine shipping for anyone who wins more than one item. If you do need combined shipping, please wait for an invoice before paying.
