LISTEN BEFORE BIDDING:  Listen to the whole album before bidding.

This is the mega rare LP Folkus 'Alive' on Thule records from 1970? (no date printed on cover or label).  Thule records started in the early sixties releasing local acts from the area in Thule, Shetland, Scotland.  Recorded in mono live at Edinburgh University, Chaplaincy Centre, 25th April, 1970.  The album features original compositions and cover versions of Sandy Denny's 'Who Knows Where The Time Goes' and The Beatles 'Nowhere Man' among others.  The album also features the amazing vocals of Valerie Service who should have gone on to further recognition for her singing talents. The album is also signed on the back cover by 3 of the 4 band members: Valerie Service, Simon Skey and James Gould.  Its a really nice very clean copy with some light surface marks in places.  Play back is fantastic, virtually no surface noise on any of the album.

Album Cover notes:
Front cover is still in very good condition, bright laminate sheen, some creasing
Back cover is still in very good condition, flipback sleeve with mild discoloration
No writing on cover or labels
No fraying on edges of cover
Spine undamaged

Vinyl notes:
I have played this album back in it's entirety at a reasonably loud volume on a pair of high end Sennheiser headphones to evaluate its condition.

Matrix numbers:
SLP102 A1
SLP102 B1

A-side:
Virtually no surface noise, excellent playback

B-side:
Virtually no surface noise, excellent playback

In general the vinyl is in very good++ condition.  It looks very clean with some light surface marks.  Near perfect playback.  A really nice copy.

I tend to be over critical of a records condition as it is not my intention to misrepresent what I am selling.  I want the buyer to feel what they have bought is as described although not everyones opinion of its condition will be the same as mine.

If you have any doubts or questions about this record, please ask me and I will try to be as helpful as I can.
