Description
PROFILE: Reality Folk (UK Profile GMOR 001)
- Condition : Cover is EX, couple lamination creases, slight wear to back. Vinyl is NM, but recording and press are rather lo-fi.
- Description : 1972 original of the first release on this British label. I'm uncertain if the group's name is "Profile", "Reality Folk", or both. Autographed by all four members (Barbara, Clive, Bob & Steve) on back. The back cover and labels both have a small ink-stamped "reject", probably indicating this was a discard from an academic or possibly radio station library at some point. Beautiful black-on-red silhouettes cover design. Very simple Jesus folk, reminds me of some of the early Catholic folk label releases from the USA circa 1967, complete with basement recording quality. The last track "On The Other Side" is an exception, a rather creepy recitation over a sustained organ note! This was written up favorably in one of the Archivist volumes, but I've never seen it even mentioned elsewhere, suggesting that it is quite scarce 32 years on.

- Records are shipped in a cardboard record mailer with sufficient padding, and the disc is removed from the jacket to prevent seamsplits. The picture may have some glare visible from a reflection- this is not a flaw in the item.
