Lew Reynolds Flexo Recording Orchestra - Vocals by Jack Dean 'I Surrender Dear '/ 'Would You Like To Take Walk' (sic) Flexo 134.
A Flexo record that hasn't been destroyed by steel needles! This record plays through on both sides with clarity and on my late 40's RCA 78 player with a reasonably light tone arm (8 grams) does not skip or stick. The only caveat is that the center hole is on the small side, and is difficult to slip over the spindle.
These Flexos were made by a variety of San Francisco based labels, originating from the Warner Record Company in Kansas City, and are indeed very flexible. This one is in green plastic. The records were in production from 1930 to 1934.

"Phonograph manufacturers have beeen searching for years and the record buying public has been looking forward to obtainig a record that is UNBREAKABLE AND EVERLASTING. The new FLEXO RECORD meets these requirements. It cannot be BROKEN OR CRACKED; is of light weight for easy mailing and does not mutilate or mar easily. The new FLEXO RECORD is constructed of a specially processed material sufficiently delicate to produce the finest and natural tone qualities. The new FlEXO RECORDS have been put through the most trying and extraordinary tests, they have been thrown in the streets, run over by automobiles and trucks for hours at a time, they have been layed out under the burning rays of the hot summer sun without materially affecting their rendition qualities. They will wear almost indefinitely and are a permanent and lasting record. The PACIFIC COAST RECORD CORPORATION, in the production of the new FLEXO RECORD, has also developed the recording of sound waves by an entirely new process of phongraph recording, giving you a true reproduction of all sounds from the blare of a brass band to the whispered word. Only use the ordinary, new steel needle for the reproduction of the FLEXO RECORD.
Upon close inspection the disc appears to have minor flaws in the pressing, and does show wear, but I repeat, it does play well on my 1948 RCA 78 player. I also have not tested its durability by repeatedly running it over with my truck nor have I left in it the sun, or put it in the oven or tried boiling it. However, I will note that it is not perfectly flat.

I ship USPS Media Mail, but do charge an additional $1 for packaging. We’ve all been spoiled with free delivery from various retailers over the past few year, and I wish I could offer free shipping! But I can’t. Even Media Mail is becoming expensive. The mailers and bubble wrap I use come out at close to a buck for each shipment, and then there is the schlepping to the Post Office. I ain’t getting rich!
