Description

Fleetwood Mac’s album “Tusk” was released as a double LP in 1979, with the catalog number WB 2HS-3350. The album was a departure from the band’s previous work, particularly their hugely successful “Rumours.” “Tusk” was more experimental in nature, influenced by Lindsey Buckingham’s interest in post-punk and new wave music. The album featured contributions from all members of the band, including Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, and Mick Fleetwood, and it included the involvement of the U.S.C. Trojan Marching Band on the title track. Despite its experimental nature, “Tusk” achieved commercial success, peaking at number four on the Billboard 200 in the United States and number one in the UK. It was certified double platinum in the US and platinum in the UK. The album’s unconventional approach and production, led by Buckingham, resulted in a unique and enduring record in Fleetwood Mac’s discography.
